Construction Work on Sports Fields Begins

Construction Work on Sports Fields Begins

From Monday, 5 January 2026, preparatory work has begun. In this phase, the construction road and work sites are being set up, traffic measures are implemented, and trees and existing facilities are carefully protected. Cables and pipelines are also mapped out, and preparatory work is carried out where necessary.

Clearing and Removal of Existing Facilities

In the following weeks, existing surfaces, fences, and sports facilities will be removed. This includes:

  • Removing artificial turf and the underlying layers on the tennis courts
  • Dismantling and storing lighting, fences, and sports equipment (where possible for reuse)
  • Removing the beach volleyball court and old foundation layers

These activities are carried out in phases to ensure the work is safe and well-organized.

Construction of New Sports Facilities

From February and March onwards, the new facilities will begin to take shape:

  • New tennis courts
  • Padel courts with cages and lighting
  • New surfaces, paths, and paving around the fields
  • Installation of fences, gates, and court lighting

The technical layers of the sports surfaces will be inspected periodically to ensure quality.

During the summer, all remaining fields, such as the hockey and rugby/football fields, will be constructed.

Landscaping and Completion

In the final phase, the site will be further finished with landscaping, and the final inspection will take place. After this, the sports fields will be ready for use.
