New Reservation Rules and No-Show Policy from August 1

To ensure the quality of our sports offering and to provide everyone with equal opportunities to participate, USC will introduce several changes to the reservation rules for both Leiden and The Hague as of August 1.

Reservations were already required for all activities in The Hague, as well as for HIIT and circuit training sessions at all our locations. Starting August 1, the Body & Mind classes in Leiden will also require reservations. For all activities, you may have up to two active reservations per sport or class. This means you can have multiple reservations for different sports at the same time. All Body & Mind activities are considered one sport category.

Unfortunately, it still happens frequently that participants make reservations and do not attend their booked class or activity. For this reason, we are also introducing a no-show policy. If you fail to attend for the first time, you will receive a warning. If you fail to attend another reservation within 90 days, you will be charged a €2.50 fee. You can avoid this by checking in from 50 minutes before the start of your reservation or class, either by scanning the QR code at the entrance gates or by scanning the QR code at the studio, court, or sports field.

Reservations and Check-In

Reservations can be made up to 72 hours in advance. Please make sure to check in before your activity. Check-in opens 50 minutes before the start of your reservation or class.

Cancellations are possible up to 1 hour before the activity starts.

Both check-in and cancellation can be easily managed through the USC App. To check in, scan the QR code using the app at the entrance gates, the screens outside the sports halls, the reception desks of the swimming pools and ice rink, or at the outdoor courts and sports fields.

Number of Reservations

You may have a maximum of 2 active reservations for each of the following sports or activity types:

  • Plex-Fit Circuit Training
  • KickrBike
  • HIIT The Hague
  • All sports classes in The Hague
  • Body & Mind classes in Leiden
  • Aerial Acrobatics
  • Padel (reservations must include a total of 4 participants)
  • Tennis (reservations must include a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants)
  • Open reservations for sports halls or sports fields
  • Swimming
  • Ice Skating

Once a reservation has passed, and you still have one future reservation active, you can make a new (second) reservation again from midnight onwards. This allows you to train multiple times per week, provided there is sufficient availability.

No-Show Policy

To make the most efficient use of available spots, USC applies the following no-show policy:

  • A warning will be issued after the first no-show.
  • A €2.50 fee will be charged after a second no-show within 90 days.

Important

For all activities, each participant must have a valid reservation and must check in using the QR codes. Some sports, such as tennis and padel, have specific minimum and maximum participant requirements.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation in time so that someone else can make use of the available spot.
