Looking for a winter outlet? Every Tuesday night is USC night on the ice. Skating is the ultimate workout for your fitness, balance, and leg muscles. Get away from your studies, clear your head in the cold air, and enjoy the sound of blades cutting through the ice.
At IJshal De Vliet, you are welcome on the 400-meter track (Oval) for speed or on the Fun Rink for technique and fun. Whether you are a seasoned speed demon on speed skates (noren) or stepping onto the ice for the first time: Tuesday night is your moment. It is relaxation through exertion, all for a student price.
You can clock up the meters on the Oval (1st floor). Note: only speed skates (noren) are allowed here and traffic is one-way (counter-clockwise). Fast skaters on the outside!
Do you want to practice your turns or balance quietly? The Fun Rink (20x45m) is perfect for working on your technique without the pressure of fast traffic on the oval.
Make Tuesday night a regular event with your housemates or study friends. Exercise together, work on your fitness, and go home satisfied.
