Forget the clichés: this is top sport

Do you only think of American movies and girls waving pom-poms when you hear cheerleading? Think again. Cheerleading is an explosive team sport that combines elements of gymnastics, dance, and acrobatics. We build human pyramids, do somersaults, and launch people into the air.

At the USC, we literally and figuratively lift each other to a higher level. It's about blind trust, strength, and tight timing. Whether you are the 'flyer' going into the air or the 'base' supporting the structure: everyone is indispensable. Experience is not required, guts and enthusiasm are!

What do you need?

Discover Cheerleading

For the Beginner

Never built a pyramid before? No problem. In the beginners' class, we teach you the basics of stunting and dancing. Safety and technique come first.

For the Advanced

Have you mastered the basics and want more? In the advanced class, we work on more complex routines, higher stunts, and specifically train for performances.

For the Team Player

Cheerleading is the ultimate team sport. You literally cannot do it without each other. If you are looking for someone to catch you (literally!), you are in the right place.

All about Cheerleading

Do I need experience with gymnastics or dance?

No, that is not necessary. We start with the basics. Everyone has their own talent and strength within the team. We help each other up.

Is it only for women?

Absolutely not! Cheerleading is a mixed sport. Especially for the 'bases' (those who lift), male strength is very welcome, but everyone is welcome in every role.

What is the difference between the classes?

There is a beginners' class where you learn the techniques. In the advanced class, the pace is higher and training is really focused on routines and performances.
