Are you stiff from studying or looking for a moment of peace in your busy week, but still want to work out? Body Balance is the ideal middle ground. This class combines the best practices of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates. Set to beautiful music, you flow from one movement into another.

At the USC, Body Balance is a moment for yourself. You build strength in your core, improve your flexibility, and find complete relaxation. Don't be fooled by the calm pace: your muscles have to work hard to stay balanced. You leave the class feeling taller, stronger, and with a clear mind.

For the Stressed Student

Exam stress? Deadlines? Body Balance helps you control your breathing and shift your focus from your head to your body. Ten minutes of final relaxation works wonders.

For the Core Builder

Through the Pilates elements, you intensively train your abdominal and back muscles. A strong core is the foundation for every other sport you do.

For the Inflexible

Think you're not flexible enough? Nonsense. You come to this class precisely TO become more flexible. There are options for every pose, so everyone can participate at their own level.

All about Body Balance

Is it too spiritual?

No, not at all. Body Balance is a physical workout. Although we work with breathing and concentration, the focus is on training your body and muscles.

 

Do I need to bring my own mat?

No, mats are available in the hall. However, it is mandatory to bring a towel for hygiene (to place on the mat).

Can I participate if I am injured?

Often yes, because the movements are controlled. However, ALWAYS inform the instructor before the class, so they can provide options for certain poses.
