Strength from the core

In a busy world full of stress and deadlines, Pilates is your moment of focus and balance. This method, invented by Joseph Pilates, revolves around control and precision. No wild movements, but controlled exercises to the rhythm of your breathing. Everything starts from your 'powerhouse': your deep abdominal and back muscles.

At the USC, you work on a strong, flexible, and streamlined body. The exercises are fluid and conscious. You learn to listen to your body, improve your posture, and let the energy flow again. It is the ultimate way to become physically stronger and mentally calm.

All about Pilates

Is it too spiritual?

No, Pilates is a down-to-earth, physical training method. Although we work with breathing and awareness, the focus is on muscle strength, stability, and control.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

No, mats are available in the hall. However, it is mandatory to bring a towel for hygiene.

What is the difference with Yoga?

Although there are similarities, Pilates focuses more on strengthening the 'core' (abs/back) through repetitive movements, while Yoga is often more focused on flexibility, static poses, and spirituality.
