The best of both worlds

Everything in life is about balance: day and night, action and rest. Yin Yang Yoga brings these extremes together in one class. We combine the powerful, fiery energy of Yang (action, muscle strength) with the soft, quiet energy of Yin (surrender, connective tissue).

At the USC, we create inner balance. You often start quietly (Yin) with attention to your breathing, build up to a dynamic flow (Yang) where you sweat and work on strength, and end again in deep relaxation and meditation. It is the ideal class to both strengthen your body and calm your mind.

What do you need?

Discover Yin Yang Yoga

For the Seeker of Balance

Do you have a busy life full of 'Yang' (study, work, sports)? This class helps you to slow down and at the same time let your energy flow again.

For the Versatile Yogi

Do you find Power Yoga too intense and Yin Yoga too quiet? Here you get both. You work on muscle strength AND flexibility in your joints.

For Everyone

The class is accessible to every level. Because we build up slowly, it is less prone to injury than purely dynamic classes, but more challenging than a quiet meditation class.

All about Yin Yang Yoga

What is the difference between Yin and Yang in this class?

Yang stands for the masculine, active: muscle strength, heat, and movement. Yin stands for the feminine, soft: stillness, letting go, and working on the deeper connective tissue. They complement each other perfectly.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

Yes, we strongly recommend bringing your own yoga mat for hygiene reasons. Don't have one? Then you can borrow one from the USC (please clean it thoroughly afterwards!).

Can I enter late?

No. The class starts with a meditation or focus moment. To not disturb the peace and concentration of the group, entry after the start time is not possible. So make sure you are on time!
