Total relaxation and space Turn inward and let go

Everything in life is about balance: day and night, action and rest. Yin Yang Yoga brings these extremes together in one class. We combine the powerful, fiery energy of Yang (action, muscle strength) with the soft, quiet energy of Yin (surrender, connective tissue).

At the USC, we create inner balance. You often start quietly (Yin) with attention to your breathing, build up to a dynamic flow (Yang) where you sweat and work on strength, and end again in deep relaxation and meditation. It is the ideal class to both strengthen your body and calm your mind.

For the 'Busy Bee'

Is your mind always racing from one deadline to the next? This class literally forces you to stand still, breathe, and calm your nervous system.

For the Athlete

Ideal if you have tight muscles or stiff joints from running or lifting weights. Yin Yoga increases your mobility and keeps your tissues healthy.

For the Beginner

The most accessible form of yoga. You don’t need to be strong or flexible; it's about what you feel, not what the pose looks like. Everyone can join at their own level.

All about Yin Yoga

Why do we hold the poses for so long?

Muscles need relatively little time to stretch, but stiff connective tissue (fascia) needs more time to respond and release. By staying in a pose for 3 to 5 minutes, we work on a much deeper physical level.

Do I need to be flexible for this class?

Absolutely not! Yin Yoga is meant to help you create space in your body. We often use bolsters and blocks (props) to adapt the poses to what your body needs.

How do I sign up?

You can easily sign up via the USC App or the website. Make sure to arrive on time; the doors close as soon as the class starts to maintain a peaceful environment in the studio.
