Stand strong, feel safe

Safety starts with presence. In the Self-Defense Course, you not only learn how to react physically but, more importantly, how to stand mentally stronger. The goal? To increase your sense of safety so you know what to do in any situation.

At the USC, we practice with realistic scenarios. You learn to set boundaries, clearly say 'no', and – if really necessary – use effective physical techniques. From release techniques to using your voice: you build a toolkit that helps you panic less and stay in control.

What do you need?

Discover Self-Defense

For Everyone

Man, woman, young, or old: anyone can find themselves in a situation where they have to stand up for themselves. This course is accessible to anyone who wants to feel more resilient.

For the Insecure

Do you sometimes feel unsafe on the street or find it difficult to set boundaries? We work a lot on posture, presence, and voice usage. You will notice your self-confidence growing.

For the Practical Learner

You learn techniques that are immediately applicable. No complicated choreographies, but simple, effective actions (such as release techniques and using vulnerable spots).

All about Self-Defense

Do I need to be strong to participate?

No, absolutely not. Self-defense is all about making smart use of technique and surprise, not brute force. Anyone can learn it.

Is it scary or painful?

We practice in a safe, controlled environment. Respect for each other comes first. It can sometimes be physical, but the intention is never to hurt each other during training.

What exactly will I learn?

You learn a mix of mental and physical skills. Mental: setting boundaries, posture, presence. Physical: breaking free from holds, effective punching/kicking, and using 'opportunity weapons' (like keys or a bag).
